In early 2018, Nicholas Hytner will bring one of the year’s most-anticipated productions to his recently opened Bridge Theatre, which hums proudly between the shadows of City Hall and Tower Bridge.
This version of Shakespeare’s murderous tragedy not only promises a terse, biting cut - it has been reduced to 2 hours long, without an interval - but it will also thrust its spectators into the thick of the action by staging in promenade format. And as if that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, it will also feature the stellar cast of Ben Whishaw, Michelle Fairley and David Morrissey.
